i LOVE tim burtons films, but this one, while some parts being good and johnny depp and the queen was brilliant, was just a bit too, cheesy? with the cliche repeated sentiments (alice saying the same thing to the mad hatter as her dad said to her etc etc) and the end when she "asserts" herself to the crowd of people, was there pressure on him from the studio? what did u think? i just think that it had so much potential to be a realy trippy weird film and it wasnt.
It was ok.
Diesel Model (not an agency) and the studio belonging to them is a real scam, it is all over the internet and I have a personal experience. Why is Yahoo allowing them to post questions here and their own man answering that they are brilliant? Why yahoo do not take them down when reported with facts?
Hello! Obviously you don’t have personal experience as you wouldn’t write this then :o) They probably turned you down and now you’re upset and a bit angry and want to spread false rumours… Sorry to tell you dude but not everyone can be a model, pick a different career if you’re not good looking enough, the world is tough, don’t try to be a model if you’re ugly. They would have helped you out if you had the criteria, I’m a model and many others thanks to them… And yes, for anyone who can read it says clearly that they are not an agency… so unless you’re a bit thick you already know this when you apply ;o)
I need to relocate for work, moving into a flat of my own, but i have no idea what utility bills will come to. If anyone has lived alone in a flat and can give me a ball park figure that would be brilliant. Also i worked out council tax is going to cost around £100, sound about right? i dont have a clue!!
Council tax will be at least £80 a month. Electric/gas/water will be a total of about £75-80 a month. Remember contents insurance, too…
LIVERPOOL hopes to land a number one hit single to mark the 20th anniversary of Hillsborough.
Former Reds players and music stars are launching a bid to top the charts on on April 15.
Famous faces and Hillsborough families have recorded a version of classic Kop anthem Fields of Anfield Road .
Liverpool legends including John Aldridge, Kenny Dalglish, Bruce Grobbelaar, Alan Kennedy, Howard Gayle and Phil Thompson feature on the record.
Ex La’s and Cast singer John Power provided the lead vocal for the track which was recorded at the city’s Elevator studio, in Cheapside.
Fomer Farm frontman Peter Hooton has composed a new poignant fourth verse for the much-loved anthem
Part of it goes: “…I hear the Kopite mourning. Why so many taken on that day. Justice has never been done, But the memories will carry on.”
The Picket’s Phil Hayes, who lost a cousin at Hillsborough, was project manager for the recording and worked alongside Kevin McManus from creative company Merseyside ACME.
Scouser Ken Nelson, who produced Coldplay’s hit albums, is involved in the project.
Also featured on the record is a member of Echo & The Bunnyman and Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon from pop act China Crisis.
The track will be released on March 26.

Liverpool Mayor Cllr Steve Rotheram, who went to the ill-fated FA Cup semi-final clash against Nottingham Forest, said: “Our ambition is to get to the top of the charts to commemorate the loss of 96 lives.
“It’s about telling a story of how these people went out to watch a football match and never came home.
“It’s a contemporary version, a bit faster than the original so people can sing along to it.
“It was an emotional experience recording the song in the studio. There were a lot of people crying.
“We hope everyone in Merseyside will get behind it, Red and Blue.”
Phil Hayes, from The Picket, said:
“It’s a joyous song and it was brilliant to get everybody there and even some of the families.”
The single will be available to download and could be sold in music stores.
The owner of the copyright to both Fields of Anfield Road and the original Irish classic Fields of Athenry both waived a fee for the Liverpool single.
And the cost of hiring out the studio was met by the Lord Mayor’s charity.

Please help! I am a total novice to using MIDI
I have played keyboards for many years using a multiple keyboard setup, but have never used the midi facilities on the premise that if I can’t play it live of my own ability I won’t play it at all as I have always considered using tapes or any other form of recorded music as cheating. However, I have reached a point where I want to be able to use Midi, both in a live situation and in my home recording setup.
My keyboard setup is mostly antique and largely cheap and cheerful but the band I play in has a very retro sound. I use:
Yamaha DX7
Yamaha YS 200
Yamaha TQ 5 which I use purely as a sound module. (Don’t know how to use it as a sequencer and have never bothered to work out how to!)
Yamaha KX 5 (linked up to the TQ 5 & DX 7)
2 X Yamaha PSR E313
Moog Prodigy
Minimoog
Roland SH101 (1st generation original 1970’s)
Roland FP 4 Stage Piano (my newest baby)
Roland TD 5 Electronic drum kit
My recording facilities are:
Boss BR600 Digital Recorder (Brilliant piece of kit)
Sony ACID Music Studio 7.0 (only just bought it, therefore haven’t figured it out yet)
Steinberg Cubase SL/SX2 (had it about 2 years but never used it. Bought it from a mate who upgraded. Don’t really understand it as it came without instructions)
How do I link these keyboards up to my computer to enable Midi recording using ACID or Cubase, (if I ever find the user manual). I know that the FP 4 can connect using USB to USB cable and I have a Midi to USB adapter, but I don’t know how to link up the other Midi keyboards or appliances to enable me to use my software programs effectively as either a sequencer or a recording studio.
I want to use my computer as a sequencer for solo live performance as I have composed a full electronic music set, (similar in style to Jean-Michele Jarre, but more up to date), which I want to be able to play live using one or two of the keyboards (and the monosynths which are not Midi compatible anyway), while the sequencer plays the other keyboards and the drums as an accompaniment or complimentary performance.
How would I achieve this?
With all the equipment that you have and what you do not have you will either have to take a course in MIDI or hire someone to come in and help you set it up.
hi, i live in herefordshire england, i really want to be a famous singer and i have been told im good, i need some advice where to start, i have singing lessons, not brilliant ones but i am taking my grade 4 soon, im 14 and im not sure where to start, i need some advice where to go from here, i was thinking someone could give me advice on studios, people to hear, places to go within a distance i can go, near to me in the uk.
There is only one real answer, practice, practice, practice.~
Something that is quite Professional and that doesn’t go out of sync and dubbing! (which is what i am having trouble with at the moment with my old editing software- video studio 9) i need something really good, BUT easy to use and isn’t over the top that its so hard and confusing to work with.
thank you ! i will then try the free trial.

Every night I had the same dream over and over and I hoped it would never stop. I just kept having endless conversations with him and it was fantastic. School stopped all my fun though, with me having to wake up at 7am. The weekends were good, I got to lie in until 10am and dream about wonderful things.
Today was a big day for me, I’d taken the day off school to travel down to London. I asked my mum about it a while ago, and I had worried about the whole money situation. Obviously the train would cost quite alot, going from The Wirral to London.
"Mum, I know you don’t have much money, and I know I’m asking for alot, but… I saw this dance competition on in London called ‘Move Like Michael’ and it’s a chance to win £100,000! But obviously because it’s in London I figured you wouldn’t have the money to take me." I explained to my mum one afternoon.
"Woah honey I know you’re a huge MJ fan but are you sure this is what you want?" She asked. I thought for a while and decided that it was totally what I wanted.
"Yes, of course. I want to try and win some money for this family, and plus if I won I’d get to meet him! That’d be amazing!" My face lit up with joy.
"Okay then. We don’t have much money no, but I’ve been saving up a little over the past few years and I do have some money spare. I’m willing to give you it and we could get the train to London if its what you really want to do. I could also teach you a dance, I was taught it when I attended dance school. It’s a really pretty dance and I think you’d be able to pull it off." She said, smiling.
"Aw thank you so much! Mum I really love you, you’re the best and I’m so glad you’re coming with me!" I grinned and hugged her, I really did love her.
Today was the day were I could audition for a dance competition to win £100,000. It was quite a big thing to do and it was called ‘Move like Michael’. I had heard that the people who got through to the Finals would have the chance to meet Michael and that for me would be amazing. But really the only reason I had entered was to really help my family. £100,000 was alot of money, and my mum and dad needed it, for my dads treatment. I had to get up at 5am! I had to train one last time before performing it, and then I had to get ready. My mum helped with my makeup and hair, and my clothes. I had to be on the train for 7am. I was a hopeless dancer, but I’d been taught some moves and a brilliant routine by my mum. I trained every night after school, and I thought I knew the dance off by heart. It was an amazing routine, everything flowed really good. I was no comparison to my mum dancing it, she knew every single timing and beat.
"Mum, do you think I dance okay? I mean, do you think I might have a chance of winning?" I asked, whilst we were boarding the train.
"Of course love, the dance fits you really well. Of course you’re not amazing yet, but you could be" She answered smiling. I smiled back and stepped onto the train, I looked around for a seat and it was packed.
"Robyn, theres seats over here love." Mum called to me, guiding me to our seats. "We’re going to be on here a while, so get comfy."
We sat there for around three hours and 20 minutes, just talking about everything. It was nice, I never really got to speak to my mum alone normally or spend time with her alone, she is always helping my dad. We stood up, ready to get off at our stop and I caught a glimpse at a reflection in the window. I looked again and tried to make out the face but it was too blury, I stared at the window for so long it made me go dizzy.
"Robyn, what are you doing? We need to get off, come on Robyn" My mum was saying, whilst nudging me, but I was determined to find out who it was. I tried to figure out where they would be sitting on the train so I looked around everywhere and tried to match a face. I couldn’t. I looked back at the window and the person was gone.
"No but mum, I swear, there was someone in the window… In the reflection… But they weren’t on the…" I trailed off still looking at the window. My mum just looked at me as if I was crazy.
"I guess the nerves are triggering some insanity" I mumbled and stepped off the train. I had no idea what I had just seen, and whether it was my eyes playing up or not. Once I had stepped out of the trainstation I looked around, amazed at the landscape before my eyes. I imagined what it would be like when I got off the train, but it was no where near as amazing as I had imagined. I glanced over at my mum, who was doing the exact same as me. We had never travelled out of Birkenhead, there was no money to do so. We trooped up a few hills, strode across a few roads and wandered down some empty streets and then we saw it. ‘Waterloo Studio’, the sign beamed across the entrance like the moon in a clear sky.
"Hello miss, are you here for the dance competition?" A well-dressed man asked us.
"Yes, yes we are." I answered.
"Okay ladies, please follow me to get checked in." He gestured towar
yess i would read it.
did u write it?
if u did its really good
I was just woundering because everyone says shes a brilliant singer, and you can tell she thinks she is herself. But on one of the episodes in season one when she tried to teach lilly (emily.o) to sing, she sang and she i tell you, she didn’t sound to good. So, what do you all think, is it just me???
I laughed when I heard this question! Miley is a singer that has her ups and downs. She has her moments on stage that make you wonder. Im sure she cant be that bad. She is big into entertaining people… and you tell me… are you entertained? Sure when she cracks or just plain sounds bad it could all just be apart of being nervous or losing her voice. We would never actually know but i guess we can only hope somebody the truth will be revealed. Good luck with this whole Miley thing!
