Most of the brilliant researches and findings seem to come out of the same elite universities (Harvard, Yale, Cambridge, Oxford und so weiter). Is the teaching in them substantially superior to normal universities? Or is it their prestige that gives them more publicity in academic journals? They do get to pick the most brilliant people to begin with, but because the majority of people who apply are natives, there should be a lot of brilliant people left for other universities too. What do you think?

Long story short: I’m a Senior English teacher, I have a brilliant student who is the most incredible writer I’ve come across in my 8 years of teaching, yet he simply refuses to work, and I really want him to display and realize his gift. Any thoughts? I’ve already tried talking to his parents, who are in full support and agree with me.

I go to the gym often and use things like whey powder and usually eat lots of decent foods. Yet billions of people choose to believe them, about God existence, over modern day brilliant men, such as Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, Charles Darwin, and most scientist. Why is that?

So your image of uneducated goat herders with barely no education, doesn’t match the history. Especially since most were not goat herders but were other trades, merchants, farmers, lead by a sophisticated Sanhedrin court with rules that prevented bribery, avoided capital punishement, and had legal precident methods that would mirror those used in a modern court of law.

You’re generalizing all religions that claim some connection to those books (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Bahii, Samaritans, & probably a dozen more) and generalizing all ways of following those religions. I’ll talk to the one I know.

Judaism is a far cry from unwise. There are tons of philosophical questions & answers looked at & used to guide people in life. Since religion is about answering philosophy & not about answering science — it’s your parallels that don’t make sense in Judaism.

Most of Christianity also supports & uses the information of Hawking, & Darwin. So you’re using a narrow group of Christians to define all Christians.

Dawkins is not a brilliant man, nor a scientist. I have at times not decided whether there is a God or not, & checked out his books. I could not read them. I tried but the glaring factual errors, coupled with basic logic errors, drove me to distraction & I stopped listening. His first manipulation is to declare religion is only the narrow range of those who take it literally & believe in a personal god who’s manuvering everything - then belittles that — all while ignoring ALL the other religious writings that address that exact questions he’s bringing up. In other words he 1st excludes from religion, all religious writings that answer to the questions, he then uses that to bash what’s left in his definition of religion. His views on Einstein & Judaism are purely uneducated & factually false, misusing quotes from each out of context so they are inaccurate.

There are brillant people in the past & present, Dawkins isn’t one of them. FYI, people in the past had the advange of huge amounts of free time to think, and much of their thoughts were refined further over time by other brillant people as they were born every few centuries. Judaism has a lot of collected wisdoms. Plenty of those scientists you’re talking about are Jewish & get their sense of how to question & discover things, from Jewish style learning & thinking.

Seriously, Obama doesn’t seem to be very creative in problem solving. For instance, send Israel back to the 1967 borders? That’s it? Reset the initial conditions that threatened Israeli security to ensure another war? Obama is certainly something MUCH LESS than brilliant!

Its summer so my dance class isn’t on. how can I become a brilliant hip hop dancer over the summer ? I know practice makes perfect but when I go back to dancing how will I show how good I am? Does facial expressions play a big part in it? Thanks any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Using your face is a brilliant way in hip hop dancing to show emotion throught the dance. Practice this.

Confidence in hiphop is very important too.

Practice all of your old choreography and try to show confidence and emotion. If there is any dance that you will be doing when you go back, polish it, make sure all angles are perfect, tricks are amazing etc.
