I have been looking at some people’s pictures and I don’t know how they get the picture to be so sharp and brilliant. Is it their camera? what kind of DSLR can create these kind of pictures? If it’s mostly software, what kind of software is it? I have tried to shoot in manual, automatic and tried to use all the settings in my Nikon D5000. How do I get my pictures to look like that?
I came accross this blog that has those brilliant pictures I am talkin about.

Get to know your camera by focusing manually.
Be aware of the settings of the aperture (that results in paper-thin depth of field).

just a small suggestion, press the button lightly to focus the picture, and then full down to shoot it
then you can get a veyr nice pic
shaky hands dont help, and yes the camera itself plays a vital role

Small aperture (large F number) on a good lens with good camera on a tripod that is remotely triggered, possibly with studio lights! This is of course best case scenario. Take what you have, learn all about it and apply that knowledge to get desired result. Previsualize your final result and then apply your technical knowledge to get there! ALSO, post-processing can help tremendously if kkept within the limits - i.e. too much sharpening or softening will distort the photo. Again, most important is your knowledge of your equipment so that you can use it to its full potential!
Best luck to you,

It comes straight from the photographer - having correct exposure, focus, and good composition are parts of it as well.
